My girls enjoyed this simple flower soup + water sensory play idea outside in the sunshine.
*Important: All play was supervised. Always actively supervise water play. Never leave a child alone with water.
Flower Soup - A fun water sensory play idea for kids:
For our flower soup water sensory play we used:
🌸Inspire My Play PlayTRAY - the white tray makes the colours stand out
🌸Warm water (it was cold today) and a few drops of pink food colouring
🌸Flowers from the garden
🌸Yellow Door Flower stones (optional - just real flowers work well too!)
🌸Scoops, jugs, spoons, strainers. Our wooden items are mostly from @wildmountainchild. The really big spoon with holes is Papoose brand.

We didn’t have to worry about any mess because we did it outside. Clean up was easy, with just a quick rinse with the hose needed.
Extend the play - Herbal Tea Sensory Play ☕️🌸
I used to think I needed to do new setups for my girls to play with and then I learnt to use the same tray in another way!
Later in the afternoon I added in some herbal teabags and warm water for them to explore.
We added in something new to invite more play … Herbal teabags + some cups.
*Please note - this is a play idea - not for consumption. They didn't drink the tea water.
